Roof Types
This log cabin features a reverse apex roof design covered with Forest’s Premium Felt. Unlike standard mineral felt which typically lasts only 5 years, this Premium Felt is polyester-backed, offering twice the rip resistance and a 15 year life expectancy. For enhanced weatherproofing, you can upgrade to Superior Felt (34kg, 20-30 year lifespan) which includes complimentary underlay installation.

Construction
Premium 34mm thick interlocking logs create the cabin walls, offering excellent insulation and structural integrity. The floor and roof are constructed from 19mm tongue and groove timber boards, known for their strength and weather-resistant properties. The floor is further supported by pressure treated floor bearers, which enhance stability and provide increased resistance to moisture and damp conditions. All timber is FSC certified, demonstrating responsible forestry practices.
Treatment & Guarantee
The timber is supplied untreated, so you’ll need to apply a quality wood preservative after assembly to protect against weathering and prolong the cabin’s lifespan. This allows you to choose your preferred finish colour and treatment specification.
Doors & Windows
Double glazed doors with toughened glass and a key-operated rim lock provide secure, light-filled entry. The doors can be positioned on either the left or right of the front aspect to suit your garden layout. Two large front windows feature modern tilt and turn opening mechanisms, allowing easy ventilation and cleaning. All glazing is toughened single glass for safety and durability.
Assembly Information
This log cabin must be assembled on a solid, level surface such as concrete or a suitable prepared base. Professional installation is available if required, though you’ll need to ensure the ground and base are prepared beforehand.
